The only minor issue we encountered was the faint noise from an extractor or something on the roof of the Bell pub across the road. However, once it was turned off, the tranquility of Pike Cottage was restored, and we had no further disturbances.

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for our Christmas stay, including a washing machine and additional TV channels. The location was excellent, and we never had any trouble finding parking.

There were a few downsides to our stay. the bedroom setup was not ideal as one of the bedrooms was a mezzanine above another bedroom with a shared en suite.

As a senior woman, I was delighted to find that the hotel had excellent accessibility. There were no stairs to climb, and the rooms were spacious enough for me to move around comfortably. It was truly a dream for someone of my age!

My only request would be for the hotel to have more staff available to assist us seniors with any needs or inquiries. Sometimes, it can be a little overwhelming to rely on the children working there for everything.

This place is absolutely mind-blowing! You won't believe how well equipped it is - they have everything you could possibly need, including a washing machine and tons of TV channels. The heating is super easy to control, so you'll always be nice and cozy. And the location is jaw-droppingly perfect - so convenient with no struggle to find parking. Plus, the cottage is clean and quirky, making for an unforgettable stay. And did I mention the additional perks like Wi-Fi, dryer, and cots? Absolutely perfect for a cycling or fishing adventure. Free WiFi, because obviously I can't live without checking my Instagram every 5 minutes. Fishing and cycling nearby, because who doesn't love sweating and getting their hands dirty on vacation? Nearest airport only 33 km away, so close yet so far.
